Codes diagnoses and operative procedures using:
ICD-9-CM, CPT, APC, HCPCS, 3M Encoder, etc.
Participates in all aspects of the CDI program.
AHIMA CCS certification required.
Minimum of three years experience as a hospital inpatient Medicare Coder.
Must be able to code an average of 30 cases per 8 hours.
Must maintain an overall accuracy rate of 95%, with a DRG accuracy rate of 97%.
Must have the ability to perform audits and report results clearly.
